I saw you guys for the first time on that Saosin tour. I remember Jer walking around selling CDs during breaks in the sets. when i asked what yall sounded like, he something to the effect of “like a heavier Incubus.”
we bought the EP (how could you not with that pitch?) and y’all became one of my favorite bands from there on out.
a few years later my really bad screamo band got to open for y’all in Utica, NY at the local community college.
weird how these threads of life intertwine sometimes.
So funny to think that was your first tour, because I saw you guys on that run with those bands in Providence, RI about a week prior and was celebrating turning 18!
Haha 😂 sure was!! The dumpiest dump ever with no door on the men's room - but that was home all through highschool and early college until it was shut down because they couldn't get insurance anymore! Anyways, been a fan of yours ever since! Hope you make it back out here one day to play some tunes.
I honestly loved that place. I know it was a hell hole, and I specifically remember having to buy something from Dunkin Donuts down the block every time I had to use the bathroom, but I still loved playing there. So glad someone else remembers it!
Wow I love this story. Great read.

And you're still here. I appreciate that.
It really was such a great first tour.

Was it at The Living Room? That old venue where they just kept painting everything black instead of repairing/replacing anything?
